Hello everyone and thanks so much for a brilliant first half of Autumn term. We hope you’ve had a very restful week off and are looking forward to hearing about your adventures on Wednesday 31st October- Halloween!
Please do remember that Wednesday is a fundraising fancy dress day for children- please feel free to flex your creative muscles and we’re looking forward to seeing a parade of ghosts, werewolves, vampires and witches instead of our usual angelic faces. We are asking for a donation of £2 per child, to go towards a new computer for the preschool classroom.
After preschool finishes, we will be hosting what will hopefully be the first of many Pop Up Cafes, again raising money for preschool. There will be Halloween fun and games, cakes and cups of tea on sale, so cake contributions will be very welcome indeed.
While it’s all good fun, we’re serious too- several people have mentioned at our weekly Toddler Group that it can be hard to meet other parents outside of pick up and drop off at school and preschool and we want to provide a fun, warm and welcoming space for children and adults alike to make new friends and relax in good company.
Speaking of good company, do tell all your friends and neighbours about our joint Open Day with Stockland C of E Primary Academy on Monday 5th November. It’s sure to be a cracker of a day, so if you are considering the primary school for your preschooler, or you or someone you know is thinking about joining preschool, do come down and have a look around and a chat. Preschool will be welcoming visitors between 9:30 and 3:00, and school between 9:30 and 12:30. Perhaps see you there?
In the meantime, here are some snapshots from a gorgeous autumn day exploring the field last half term. The children loved collecting their conkers then racing back to crack some and use others for painting. Look out for the finished products!
